Jean Graton, creator of Michel Vaillant in 1957, explains:
“I wanted to pack everything into my first album, “Le Grand Défi” (The Great Challenge). My hero, his family, Formula 1, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Indianapolis—right down to the hero donating his own blood to his injured rival!”

- The shipping cost for an Art Strip is $600 from Paris to any U.S. state. For the purchase of 2 or 3 Art Strips, the shipping cost is $900. Shipping is free for purchases of 4 or more Art Strips.
